Joint Clinical Lead Greater Manchester

Professor Andrew King is Joint Clinical Lead for the North West Neurosurgery Network. He is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences (MCCN), Salford Royal Hospital, where he has practised since 1998. He previously served a decade as Clinical Director of Surgical Neurosciences and is Honorary Professor of Neurosurgery at The University of Manchester. Andy also holds an MAHSC Honorary Clinical Chair, recognising his contributions to research and clinical innovation. His expertise includes degenerative spinal disease and skull base pathology, and he has published extensively in these areas. He is co‑Director of the Geoffrey Jefferson Brain Research Centre and a past President of the British Skull Base Society.
