The North West Neurosurgery Network (NWNN) established in January 2024 is a clinically-led NHS programme of work connecting neurosurgery providers across the North West of England. The network has a shared focus on improving access, outcomes, and experience of patients across the North West.
Hosted by Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust and funded by NHS England, NWNN operates as part of NHS England’s Specialised Services Clinical Networks (SSCN) programme. The Network promotes collaboration, pathway improvement, and system-wide innovation across neurosurgical services.on Trust
The Network brings together the region’s three neurosurgery providers: Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust and The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust.
We are focused on working with partners from across the NHS and VCSE sector. This is to ensure a joined-up approach to service planning and transformation in our region.
As an established Network our focus is shifting to delivering our annual plan, embedding the network amongst our members and strengthening wider system collaboration.
